Sonicworx Isolate Crack
I was more disappointed with this software than anything I have ever tried from Prosoniq. It is completely unusable.
Like you, I thought that it must be me that isn't using it right, but I've spent a considerable amount of time on it now and can only conclude that it's really not very good. Everything comes out sounding robotic. Voices have a weird android quality to them and even when removing vocals, the resulting track has strange artifacts that just make it unusable.

Clearly they are onto something with the ability to recognise certain sounds in order to isolate them, but they were doing this 10 years ago with their Pandora software and don't appear to have got much further. The problem seems to be with 'resynthesis' i.e. Replacing sounds with their approximate spectra. It just doesn't cut it! Now if we had something that could do what 'Audionamix' does. It would be a different story. I don't do your type of work (I realize this thread is a few months old now), but what I do use Isolate for is extracting stuff out of both stereo and mono mixes.
Mono being the most time consuming, as I extract parts with the intention of creating a new stereo mix where before, there was none. Isolate has worked very well for me.
It takes me a LONG time on difficult material. For example, I've been lifting three part harmonies out of mono mixed stuff of mine from the 60s over the past few months. I've had some degree of success getting bass guitar out of many things.

And then, on a lot of stuff, I've just had to experiment with how/what to extract on sections that work in the best way. For example, I may spend a week trying to get a guitar out of a section of a song, only to find after a few days, that it may be easier to knock the drums etc out, leaving JUST the guitar by itself. Which I can then fly back into the daw that way and approach the mix rebuild a little differently in that section By the way, my purposes for Isolate are to re-mix things of mine where the 60s multitrack tapes are in bad shape or long gone. Also, I have often had to take out parts a little at a time, in fragments of the songs themselves.
Repositioning the sections in the daw later. This stuff is a labor of love and with Isolate, it's way easier than anything available up to this point. It's not perfect, and the source material is going to really make a diff on the results. But I find that patience works better than anything else. I've spent up to a month moving one or two parts out of 3-minute songs of mine. And it sometimes takes me that long just to get halfway through on some of them. It's also VERY helpful for me to fly extracted stuff back into the daw to test out progress of new mixes on sections.
That lets me know sections where I may have to go back to the master and strip out parts in a different manner with Isolate. By the way, I've said it before, I think Stephan Burnsee is a genius. Not only for Isolate, but for his invention of 'Unveil'. Who'd a thought ten years ago that you could remove reverb from mixes.
Not to mention 'unmix the mix'. I don't know how Isolate compares to Cedar Retouch, but it sure seems to get similar results to retouch stuff I've heard. The technology will get better too. These are fantastic times. Zynaptiq Unveil has been super useful here for restoration and excitation of difficult live recordings. I have no experience with Isolate, just know the APEM room deverberation tools in SonicWorx are fairly primitive compared to Unveil (heir apparent) but I still run Sonicworx 2.6.2 on OSX using sheepshaver because it has rare processing gems. I'm all for archeology but months of time over a couple minutes of audio, that's an extreme behavior (and one I strangely can relate to), yet with all this code that allows us to recontextualize, restore and fix past performances, there is a blackhole within the behavior pattern of restoration that slowly blinds us to making new work.

Taken to it's extreme restoration can start to feel like painting model trains or trimming bonzai. (both of which I understand are super fulfilling so no judgement here). And then there is always that moment when all that work restoring something using late 90's APEM or early 2000's code is now a 1-click process with the a new 10,000 band CPU killer. Time+Technology is a unfeeling bride. I have no problem spending time on stuff, providing that a successful outcome is possible. For me, the game has to be worth the candle.
I have to say that with Isolate, I have yet to achieve a result that didn't immediately come across as synthetic and odd sounding. I would love it if it did work! I would be delighted to have at my disposal the means to seperate a voice from a mono mixed track, but not at the cost of sounding strange and processed.
It's great that you guys are are pleased with it. Perhaps it's just me that is expecting too much. I'm not that impressed with 'Unveil' either. I achieved a better result with less processing using DyVision and ExtraBoy Pro. In my opinion we are still a long way away from reliable 'unmixing'!
'At 15 years old, Seether are starting to slide into middle age and, appropriately, their music is beginning to mature on Isolate and Medicate, their sixth studio album. Once again working with Brendan O'Brien, the grunge-era superstar who helmed Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray, Seether gravitate toward the melodic, a shift apparent in both the verses and the riffs, although there's still a tendency to grind out thick neo-grunge guitar workouts both slow ('My Disaster') and fast ('Suffer It All').

These bursts of heaviosity are the exceptions to the rule, though, for much of Isolate and Medicate finds Seether uncannily re-creating the sound and style of Nickelback, to the point where 'Nobody Praying for Me' seems to follow the cadences of 'How You Remind Me.'
